What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in — across page loads and sessions.

What We Use

Mentiv uses essential cookies only — the minimum required to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

__session / __clerk_*Essential

Provider: Clerk · Expires: Session / 30 days

Manages your authenticated session. Required to keep you logged in across page loads.

__cf_bmEssential

Provider: Cloudflare (via Clerk) · Expires: 30 minutes

Bot management and security. Set by infrastructure used to protect the authentication service.

Next.js internalEssential

Provider: Mentiv · Expires: Session

Routing and middleware state used by the Next.js framework to serve pages.

Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage to save your in-app preferences (such as auto-send and search settings). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

No Tracking or Advertising

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking or advertising cookies. We do not build profiles of your browsing behavior, share cookies with advertisers, or use cross-site tracking of any kind.

Your Choices

Because we only use essential cookies, disabling them in your browser will prevent the service from functioning — you won't be able to stay logged in. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

EU & California Users

Under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California), essential cookies used solely to deliver a service the user has requested do not require opt-in consent. Because all cookies we set fall into this category, no cookie consent banner is required. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and obtain appropriate consent first.

Changes

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top before those cookies are set. We will not introduce advertising or behavioral tracking cookies without prominent notice.
